6 Typing speed
Telos courses require extensive written work. If you do not type at the
recommended speed of 40 words per minute (wpm), you may find it difficult
to maintain the assignment schedule listed in the course packs. Use a
typing program, or ask a family member to help you determine your wpm.
7 Understanding Telos
Telos is a unique program, and it is important to understand why it exists
and how it operates. Please read the “Foundations
of Telos” and “Student Life”
sections of the Telos catalog.

8 Basic Seminar attendance
Please indicate if you are an alumnus of the Basic Seminar, presented by the Institute in Basic Life Principles. If you are unfamiliar with these seminars, further information is available at www.iblp.org.
9 Physical or learning difficulties
It is particularly important to inform the Telos office of any factors
that might require special arrangements for courses or tutors.
10 First language
If your first language is not English, indicate your first language in
the application. Submit the application as early as possible so that Telos
can help resolve any technical or communication difficulties before the
semester begins.
11 Application fee
A $25 nonrefundable application fee must accompany this application. Make
check or money order payable to The Telos Institute International. Telos
does not accept payment by credit or debit card. Returned checks incur
a $25 fee.
12 Registration/course materials form
Please note that your application form alone does not register you for
any specific course. It states only that you wish to study through Telos.
To register for courses, complete the registration/
course materials form on the Telos Web site. Instructions for completing
the form are found in "Registering for Courses."
You may send the registration/course materials form with your completed
application form or wait until the Telos staff confirms your acceptance
as a student. Regardless of the option you choose, you must submit your
registration/ course materials form to the Telos office by the official
registration deadline.
13 High school education requirements
If you are applying for early enrollment, please list the requirements
you need to fulfill in order to complete your high school education.
